Loralai's anar comes in ahead of the Kalat and Mastung crop and fills the gap at the start of the season. The skin is a brighter, cleaner red than Kandhari's leathery dark shell and the flavour is milder and rounder, with less of the sharp finish. It is the friendlier pomegranate, and the one to start with if you have not eaten much anar.
