Desi Danedar
دیسی دانہ دار
Desi Danedar is the traditional hard-seeded anar, and it is properly sour. Eaten fresh it is an acquired taste, but that acidity is the whole point: this is the variety dried into anardana, the souring agent that goes into chana chaat, chutneys and Balochi cooking. Buy it for the kitchen rather than the fruit bowl.
