Aseel Dates

بیگم جنگی

Begum Jangi is the date of the Makran coast around Turbat and the backbone of Balochistan's date trade. It is dark, soft and very high in sugar — softer and sweeter than Aseel, closer to what most people picture when they think of a date. That softness means it needs cooler handling and does not travel as robustly.
