Grapes

ہیتا

Haita is the dark grape of the Balochistan valleys — large black-purple berries on looser bunches than Sundarkhani, with thinner skin and markedly more juice. It stains, so it is not the grape for a white tablecloth, and its thin skin means it has the shortest shelf life of the three. Eaten within a couple of days of arrival it is the best of them.
